Winning Awards at Prestigious Competitions, Green Solutions Gain Recognition
During the Expo, the 2026 Global Supply Chain Promotion Research Achievement Competition Award Ceremony was held, where Chairman Wen Peng’s research paper, “Research on Global Food Supply Chain Security and Risk Assessment—A Perspective Based on the Overseas Expansion Practices of Chinese Grain Bulk Material Storage and Handling Enterprises,” won the Second Prize in the Business Advocacy Category. Organized by the Research Institute of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the competition focuses on supply chain innovation, development, and practical applications. Drawing on SRON’s overseas project experience as case studies, the paper examines the application value of technologies such as digital twins and PV energy storage systems in reducing grain losses, advancing low-carbon transformation, and strengthening supply chain resilience and food security. The study proposes a replicable and scalable grain storage infrastructure solution that can support food security development in countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative. The award represents authoritative national-level recognition of SRON’s innovative practices in green storage and handling, as well as its contribution to the sustainable development of global food supply chains.
