On June 24, the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Investment and Business Forum opened in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The forum was jointly organized by the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The opening ceremony was attended by and featured remarks from Kyrgyz First Deputy Prime Minister Amangeldiev, Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan Sabirov, and Li Qingshuang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). More than 600 representatives from government and business communities gathered to explore new opportunities for investment cooperation. As a representative of the intelligent bulk material storage and handling industry, SRON Chairman Wen Peng was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech at the session titled “Green Transformation and Digital Autonomy: New Industrialization in SCO Countries.”

Wen Peng noted that global post-harvest food losses remain a significant challenge. In some developing countries, loss rates can reach as high as 25%–30%. Combined with geopolitical tensions and fluctuations in energy prices, the stability of global food supply chains is under increasing pressure. Coordinating food security with low-carbon development has therefore become a shared challenge for all countries. At present, China has already established a well-developed, full-process modern grain storage infrastructure system, forming a complete industrial chain covering planning, manufacturing, construction, and operation & maintenance. This enables China to provide SCO member states with practical, replicable, and turnkey storage and handling solutions.

Having cultivated overseas storage and handling markets for many years, SRON has successfully delivered more than 1,000 intelligent silos across over 40 countries and regions worldwide, with a total storage capacity exceeding 3 million tonnes. His professional and pragmatic insights were highly recognized by government and business representatives from multiple countries attending the forum.
