4. Repeatability and service life of steel grain silo and concrete silo
The service life of a steel grain silo is 25 years and that of a concrete silo is 50 years. When the service life of steel grain silo is reached, you can replace the original silo body and continue to use it. But the concrete silo body cannot be replaced.
5. Heat storage capacity
The spread of heat in grain shows a diminishing situation as the thickness of the transmission increases. In the case that an external temperature is 40°C, the heat can only penetrate the thickness of grain of 2m within 10 hours. After the outside temperature drops, the temperature of steel grain silo will drop quickly, and the temperature of grain in the silo will also decrease, and grain temperature will basically maintain a balance; as for concrete silo, because of the strong heat storage capacity of cement, the heat dissipation rate is far slower than the heat absorption rate, so the heat emission is slow. Because the heat absorbed by the grain in the silo through the silo wall is difficult to dissipate through the silo wall in the next cycle, the temperature of the grain in the silo will gradually rise, causing the grain to deteriorate, which is not conducive to the safe storage of grain.
